Reading an alert
What's in an alert, where to find the evidence, and how to give feedback.
Every change Peersheep scores as high, medium or low becomes an alert. Alerts are listed on the Alerts page, and each Slack message or email links to the full alert.
The Alerts page
Filter the list by signal (All, High, Medium, Low) and by status (Unread, Read, All). Opening an alert marks it as read.
Inside an alert
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| What changed | The summary: what changed, concretely, and what it likely means for you. |
| Why high / medium / low | One sentence on why the change got its score, citing the specific change. |
| Evidence | The two snapshots side by side, plus the Text changes between them. |
| Change excerpt | The changed lines, shown when the full snapshots have been rotated out. |
| Source | The page that changed. |
| Detected | When Peersheep noticed the change. |
| Delivered via | Where the alert was sent, if it was sent immediately. |
| Status | Whether the alert has been read. |
The evidence shows the page as Peersheep saw it. If a summary surprises you, check the text changes first. They show exactly what was added and removed.
Give feedback
Below the summary, each alert asks Was this useful? Answer Useful or Not useful. Your ratings calibrate how future changes on that page are scored. See Signal scoring.
